    About Event

The New Rules of AI: Economics, Risk, and the Decisions Leaders Need to Own is a practical EuroCham Vietnam business luncheon examining how leaders should evaluate AI investments as regulation, compliance costs and operational risks become part of the equation. With Vietnam’s binding AI law taking effect in March 2026 and a transition period running into 2027, the session approaches AI as a strategic and economic issue, not simply a technology or legal question. What the session will cover: - How to decide which AI initiatives are worth funding based on economic output and time to value. - How compliance costs and potential liabilities affect the real ROI of AI projects. - The operational, vendor and jurisdictional dependencies created by AI adoption. - How businesses can design AI systems with greater control, sovereignty and viable exit paths. Participants will receive: - A one-page template for identifying where AI is being used across the business. - A quick test for assessing systems by role and risk under the new law. - A compliance calendar mapped to the 2027 deadlines. - A business case template incorporating compliance costs and liability. - Key questions for bringing AI governance and investment decisions onto the leadership agenda. 📅 Date: Friday, 2 October 2026 🕦 Time: 11:45 AM – 1:45 PM 📍 Venue: Hôtel des Arts Saigon, 76–78 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Xuan Hoa Ward, Ho Chi Minh City 🎟️ Admission, including lunch: EuroCham members: 600,000 VND per person Non-members: 900,000 VND per person For more information, contact Ms. Khanh at eventsupport@eurochamvn.org.
